Description

Screen where patient payments are recorded and saved. The user will also be able to work with denied invoices.


Access

Through the Main Menu 
  • On the main screen, press the Billing button. 
  • Then, press the Patient Pay button, located at the top of the screen.
Through QuickLinks
  • On the main screen, click on the QuickLinks text located at the top of the screen and select the Billing option. 
  • Then, press the Patient Pay button, located at the top of the screen. 
Through Patients
  • On the Patient Details screen, press the Billing button located at the top of the screen and select the Go To Billing option. 
  • Then, press the Patient Pay button, located at the top of the screen.
  • Or, press the Billing button and select the Payment option.
Through Appointments
  • On the Appointments screen, press the Billing button located at the top of the screen and select the Go To Billing option. 
  • Then, press the Patient Pay button, located at the top of the screen. 
  • Or, press the Billing button and select the Register Payment option. 


Sections 


Buttons
  • Offices: Allows you to select the office or center to be invoiced. 
  • Refresh: When pressed, it updates the screen. 

  • Billing History: When pressed, the Patient Billing History screen will be displayed. 

  • Add: Allows you to register a patient payment, but this will not be assigned to any encounter.

  • Cancel: Cancels any changes on the screen.

  • Save: Allows you to save the patient's payment.

    • Auto-Print PDF: When this option is selected, the patient's payment receipt will be displayed. It will display the provider's name, payment method and amount paid. 
    • Auto-Print to Default Printer: By selecting this option, the patient's payment receipt will be automatically printed for printing. 
  • Print:  Allows you to print the payment receipt.  

  • Go to Billing: When pressed, the main billing screen will be displayed. 

  • Previous: Returns to the previous screen.

  • Search: Section where the user can search for patients.
  • Office Unbilled Encounter: Section where the meetings that have not been invoiced by the office will be displayed. It will be possible to filter the unbilled meetings, to be displayed by the current day, weekly or all unbilled meetings.
  • Patient Collections: Section where all denied invoices or invoices for which losses have been assumed are displayed. 
  • Search: Section where the user can search by patient. The user will be able to search by the following categories:
    • Today: When pressed, all unbilled encounters will be displayed for the day of the search either by specific patient or for all patients.
    • Week: When pressed, all unbilled encounters for the week of the search, either by specific patient or all patients, will be displayed. 
    • All: When pressed, all unbilled encounters will be displayed, either for a specific patient or for all patients. 
  • Patient Information: Displays the patient demographic information.
  • Payment [Hints] Panel with instructions to start the patient's payment. It is only displayed when you scroll up from the Billing screen.
  • Payment: Section where the patient's payment is displayed. Note: There are two types of patient payments that the user can make:
    • Pagos asignados a su encuentro: In order for the payment to be assigned to the patient, you must select the patient by double clicking on the Patient Open Claims section. 
    • Pagos Manuales (no asignados a un encuentro): To register payments, which are not assigned to an encounter, press the Add button, located at the top of the screen. 
  • Payment Details: Section where all the information related to the patient's payment is detailed.
  • Bill Insurance: Section where the patient's medical plan information will be displayed. 
  • Services: Section where the service lines of the claim will be displayed.
  • Pay Amount: Amount being paid by patient.
  • Full Charges o Copay Only: Section where the user specifies whether the patient is paying the total charges or only the deductible payment.
  • Métodos de pagos: The user will be able to select or specify the type of payment method, between cash, credit card, debit card or check. 
  • Notes: Área de notas, sobre el pago del paciente.
  • Flag Claim for Review: By selecting this option and saving the patient payment, once you return to the billing screen, the claim will appear, with the configured office color.
  • Patient Open Claims: Section where the invoices with pending balances will be displayed. This list is the same as the one displayed in the Create New Claim(s) screen, in the section called Unbilled Clinical Encounters. 
  • Patient Payment History: Section where the patient's payment history will be displayed.
