Screen Description

Screen where patients payments are registered and saved.


Sections

  • Buttons
    • Refresh: 
    • Billing History: Opens the Patient Billing History screen.
    • Add Manual Payment: Allows to add a patients payment but it will not be assigned to any encounter.
    • Cancel: Cancels changes made in screen.
    • Save: Allows to save patients payment by pressing this button. 
      • Auto-Print PDF: If the Save button is marked the patients payment receipt will be displayed. Provider name, payment method and amount paid will be detailed.
      • Auto-Print to Default Printer:If the Save button is marked the patient payment receipt will be printed.
    • Print: Allows to print the receipt payment.
    • Go to Billing: Opens main Billing screen. 
    • Previous: Allows to return to previous screen.
  • Search: User can make a patient search. 
  • Office Unbilled Encounter: Displays the office unbilled encounters. It can be filtered to be displayed by Today's day, by week or by all unbilled encounters. 
  • Patient Collections: Displays all the rejected or past due claims. 
  • Search: User can search for an specific patient. 
    • Today: By pressing displays all the unbilled encounters from the search date. By an specific patient or all patients. 
    • Week: By pressing displays all the unbilled encounters of the week. By specific patient or by all patients. 
    • All: By pressing displays all the unbilled encounters of an specific patient or all patients. 
  • Patient Information: Displays the patients demographic information. The Past Due field was added to display the total patients charges.
  • Payment [ Hints ] Panel with instructions to begin with the patients payment. It will only be displayed when is from Billing screen.
  • Payment: Displays the patients payment.
  • Note: There are two types of patient payments that user can use.
  • Assigned in the encounter payment: Select with a double click in the Patient Claims with Open Balance area to assign patients payment.
  • Manual Payments (not assigned in the encounter): Press the Add Manual Payments button to add a payment not assigned to an encounter.
  • Payment Details: Displays all the detailed information of the patients payment.
    • Bill Insurance: Displays the patients insurance plan information.  
    • Services: Displays the service line of claim.
    • Pay Amount: Patients amount payment.
      • Full Charges o Copay Only: User can specify if patient is paying the total charges or only the copay. 
    • Payment Methods: User can select if patients payment is in cash, credit card, debit card or check.

    • Notes: Patient payment notes.
    • Flag Claim for Review: By selecting this option and saving patients payment and returning to the Billing screen  the claim will appear with a pink color flag.
  • Patient Claims with Open Balance: Displays the pending balance claims. This is the same list displayed in Create New Claim(s) screen in the Unbilled Clinical Encounters section.
  • Patient Payment History: Displays all the patients payment history.
