There are several options to configure the codes, to be displayed in the Close Encounter screen.
Option #1
Click on the QuickLinks text, located at the top of the screen.
Select the Settings option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Clinical button and then select the Closing Procedures Settings option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
Default configuration
- The screen will automatically display, with the Default Settings option selected.
- Press the Edit button, located at the top of the screen.
- Once you have configured the procedure codes, press the Save button to save the changes to the Default procedure codes.
- They will be displayed on the Close Patient Encounter screen by selecting the Use Default Codes checkbox.
Configuration by Provider
- Select the provider, to which you want to configure the custom procedure codes.
- If you wish to add another category, press the Add button located at the top of the screen.
- If you wish to add a procedure to a previously configured category, select the category and press the Edit button located at the top of the screen.
- For this example, a procedure will be added to a configured category.
- To add a category press the Add button, located at the bottom of the column.
- Type the category you want to configure.
- Then, click on the Add button in the Procedures Codes column to configure the procedure codes for the category created.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Select all the procedure codes, which you want to add to the created category.
- Then press the Save button.
- In order for the custom procedure codes created to be displayed on the Close Patient Encounter screen, you will need to restart the system.
- This will display the custom procedure codes on the Close Patient Encounter screen. (The codes will be displayed if the provider has the Use Custom Closing Procedures Codes option selected in the Settings of the Advanced Progress Note screen).
Opción #2
- Press the Settings button in the main menu.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Clinical button and then select the Closing Procedures Settings option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
Default configuration
- The screen will automatically display, with the Default Settings option selected.
- Press the Edit button, located at the top of the screen.
- Once you have configured the procedure codes, press the Save button to save the changes to the Default procedure codes.
- They will be displayed on the Close Patient Encounter screen by selecting the Use Default Codes checkbox.
Configuration by Provider
- Select the provider, to which you want to configure the custom procedure codes.
- If you wish to add another category, press the Add button located at the top of the screen.
- If you wish to add a procedure to a previously configured category, select the category and press the Edit button located at the top of the screen.

- Type the category you want to configure.
- Then, click on the Add button in the Procedures Codes column to configure the procedure codes for the category created.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Select all the procedure codes, which you want to add to the created category.
- Then press the Save button.
- In order for the custom procedure codes created to be displayed on the Close Patient Encounter screen, you will need to restart the system.
- This will display the custom procedure codes on the Close Patient Encounter screen. (The codes will be displayed if the provider has the Use Custom Closing Procedures Codes option selected in the Settings of the Advanced Progress Note screen).
