Description
This feature allows providers to create treatment plans and provide treatment instructions for nursing or other clinical staff and is primarily utilized alongside the Workflow functionality.
Access
Through the Side Bar section: To access Clinical Tasks in the Progress Note screen, click on the Clinical Tasks button located on the Side Bar. If the Clinical Tasks button is not visible, click on the Settings button on the Progress Note screen's toolbar. Then, choose the Side Bar Settings option. From the available items on the right, select Clinical Tasks and drag it to the items window at the lower left corner of any Side Bar category. Finally, click Save to apply the changes. The Side Bar will refresh, and the Clinical Tasks button will now be displayed under the chosen category.

Through the Search section: Click on the Search button located on the left side of the screen, then select the Clinical Tasks button.

Sections
Buttons
- Print: Enables printing of the configured clinical tasks.
- Attach to Patient: Upon pressing this button, the provider's added clinical tasks for the patient will be included in the patient's encounter. These clinical tasks can be viewed in the Workflow/Workflow Items screen by selecting the patient, clicking the More Options button, and choosing View Clinical Tasks.
- Clinical tasks can be accessed on the Workflow/Workflow Items screen by selecting the patient and clicking the More Options button, followed by choosing the View Clinical Tasks option.
- To access the Clinical Tasks for a patient, click on the Clinical Tasks tab situated on the right side of the screen, then double-click on the chosen patient's name.
- Access the progress note by clicking the Active Tasks button in the Side Bar, or by clicking the Search button at the top left of the screen. Then, choose the Active Tasks option.
Sections
Quick Treatment
- Templates: In this section, the provider can select the templates applicable to the patient's treatment.
- Available Medications: In this section, providers can select from the medications that have been previously configured as available in the center or office, through the Settings / Clinical / Available Medications screen.
- Alternatively, you may choose additional medications pertinent to the patient's treatment by clicking the 'Available Medications' link and then clicking the 'Add' button
- Additionally, you can customize the medications by their route, location, administration frequency, and any notes related to the medication by selecting the 'Available Medications' link in the Quick Treatment section.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Choose the medication you wish to configure. After configuration, click the 'Save' button at the top of the screen.
- Available Orders: In this section, the supplier will be able to select the available orders, in the plant and office, previously configured.
- Or, you will have the option to select orders, which apply to the selected patient's treatment, by clicking on the “Available Orders” link.

- Available Procedures: In this section, the supplier will be able to select the available procedures, to be carried out in the center or office, previously configured.
- Or, you will have the option to select procedures that apply to the patient's treatment by clicking on the “Available Procedures”

Patient Treatment
- Medications: In this section, the medications selected to administer to the patient will be displayed. They can be removed.
- Additional medications can be added by clicking on the “Medications” link.

- Orders: In this section, the selected orders to be performed on the patient will be displayed. They can be removed.
- In it, you can add additional orders by clicking on the “Orders” link.
- The following screen is displayed
- Procedures: In this section, the procedures selected to be performed on the patient will be displayed. They can be removed.
- Additional procedures may be included by selecting the "Procedures" link.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- General: In this section, the general instructions for the treatment of the patient before the patient is discharged from the facility or emergency room will be displayed. (For example: Lay the patient down.) They can be removed.
- General instructions can be input by selecting the "General" link. For instance, one may record the patient's blood pressure and vital signs hourly for monitoring purposes. Similarly, the frequency at which the provider's instructions should be executed can also be specified.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- ICD Codes: This section displays the diagnosis codes related to the patient's condition and/or treatment, which can be omitted if necessary.
- Diagnosis codes can be included in the same section by selecting the "ICD Codes" link.

Where will the information be displayed?
There are two areas where the information on this screen will be displayed.
- Workflow / Task: The nurse will be able to view what is registered in this screen in the “Workflow / Workflow Item” screen, by selecting the patient to whom the clinical tasks were added and pressing the “More Option” button, located at the end of the patient and selecting the “View Clinical Task” option. When the option is selected, the tasks will be displayed.
- Clinical Tasks (Pestaña): In the “Workflow” screen, click on the “Clinical Tasks” tab, located on the right side of the screen and double click on the selected patient.
- Progress Note Report: Once the nurse performs the clinical tasks on the patient, these tasks can be displayed in the progress note report. For these options to be displayed correctly in the report, they must be configured in the system.
- Note: To configure, navigate to "Settings / General / Staff & Providers," then click on the "PN Report Settings" button and choose the "Clinical Tasks" option.
