Description

Section where the patient's medical plan information will be displayed, including the patient's primary plan, secondary plan and medical plan history.


Access


Through Main Menu

  • Click on the 'Patients' button found in the Main Menu.
  • Select a patient, then click on the 'Insurance' tab located on the right side of the screen.

Through QuickLinks

  • Select the "QuickLinks" at the top of the Main Menu and choose the "Patients" option.
  • On the Patients screen, choose a patient and then select the Insurance tab, located on the right side of the screen.

Through Appointments 

  • Select the 'Appointments' button located in the Main Menu.
  • In the Appointments screen, select a patient and then click on the Patient Details button, which is located in the Side Panel section.
  • On the Patients screen, select the Insurances tab, which is situated on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • Use the button, located at the top right of the section, to expand the tab for better visibility of the section. 


Tab Sections 


Primary: In this section, the patient's first primary plan will be recorded. 

  • Payer: Select the medical plan from the list. Press the button to add or edit the medical plan.
  • Plan: Select the medical plan coverage. Press the button, to add or edit the medical plan coverage.
  • Contract: Contract number.
  • Group: Enter group ID, if it is required.
  • Start Date: Add the start date.
  • End Date: Add the end date. 
  • Exp: Add expiration date.
  • PCP (Primary Care Physician): Primary Care Physician: Verify whether the plan operates on a capitated model.
  • IS Primary Insured: Verify that the patient is the primary insured (policyholder) of the plan.
  • Other Relation: Specify the relationship to the primary insured, such as spouse, child, etc.
  • Insured Details
    • DOB: Date of Birth
    • First Name: Enter the first name of the primary insured.
    • Middle Initial: Enter the middle name of the primary insured.
    • Last Name: Enter the last name of the primary insured.
    • ID/SSN: Enter the social security number or identification number of the primary insured. 
    • Contract Number: Please provide the primary insured's contract number.
    • Phone: Primary insured phone number.
    • Address: Please provide the primary insured's address.
    • Insurance Card: Please add or remove the insurance plan image.
  • Secondary: The same conditions apply to any secondary coverage as well.
  • History: Maintains a record of previously stored insurance coverage data. 

Note: Historical insurance records can be reassigned to the primary or secondary coverage areas by right-clicking and selecting the appropriate option: 'Set as Primary' or 'Set as Secondary'.
