There are several options for configuring the order code and its components. 


Option #1

  • Click on the QuickLinks text, located at the top of the screen. 

  • Select the Settings option.

  • The following screen will be displayed: 


  • Click on the Clinical button and then select the Orders option. 


  • The following screen will be displayed: 


  • Select the laboratory, image, procedure or DME, which you want to add the components. Select whether to search by CPT or LOINC codes. 


  • Press the Edit button.


  • In the next section, change the code description, classification, unit type, alerts and instructions for the selected code.

       

  • The component, Loinc and description sections will be enabled to be added (For this example, the code of 85025 (Blood Count) was selected).
  • Press the button to add the components to the selected laboratory.

 

  • Type the component description and its units.


  • Then, press the Ok button.

       

  • To add the Loinc codes assigned to the selected code, press the Edit button.
  • The following screen will be displayed. Select all the codes assigned to it.


  • In the Search section, type the name associated with the selected code (for this example: Blood Count was selected) and the codes of 58410-2 were selected. 


  • Once selected, press the Add Loinc Codes button to add the code to the order. 


  • Press the Save button to save the changes. 
  • Press the Cancel button to cancel the action.


Option #2

  • Press the Settings button in the main menu.


  • The following screen will be displayed: 


  • Click on the Clinical button and then select the Orders option. 


  • The following screen will be displayed: 


  • Select the laboratory, image, procedure or DME, which you want to add the components. Select whether to search by CPT or LOINC codes. 


  • Press the Edit button.

Option #3

  • The following screen will be displayed: 


  • Select the laboratory, image, procedure or DME, which you want to add the components. Select whether to search by CPT or LOINC codes. 


  • Press the Edit button.


  • In the next section, change the code description, classification, unit type, alerts and instructions for the selected code.

       

  • The component, Loinc and description sections will be enabled to be added (For this example, the code of 85025 (Blood Count) was selected).
  • Press the button to add the components to the selected laboratory.

 

  • Type the component description and its units.


  • Then, press the Ok button.
