There are several options for configuring the order code and its components.
Option #1
Click on the QuickLinks text, located at the top of the screen.
Select the Settings option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Click on the Clinical button and then select the Orders option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Select the laboratory, image, procedure or DME, which you want to add the components. Select whether to search by CPT or LOINC codes.
- Press the Edit button.
- In the next section, change the code description, classification, unit type, alerts and instructions for the selected code.
- The component, Loinc and description sections will be enabled to be added (For this example, the code of 85025 (Blood Count) was selected).
- Press the button to add the components to the selected laboratory.
- Type the component description and its units.
- Then, press the Ok button.
To add the Loinc codes assigned to the selected code, press the Edit button.- The following screen will be displayed. Select all the codes assigned to it.
- In the Search section, type the name associated with the selected code (for this example: Blood Count was selected) and the codes of 58410-2 were selected.
- Once selected, press the Add Loinc Codes button to add the code to the order.
- Press the Save button to save the changes.
- Press the Cancel button to cancel the action.
Option #2
- Press the Settings button in the main menu.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Click on the Clinical button and then select the Orders option.
