Description
Documenting fetal growth throughout pregnancy is crucial. It involves tracking the development stages from conception to birth, including the formation of organs and body systems in the first trimester, the baby's growth and movement in the second trimester, and the final preparations for birth in the third trimester.
Access
- Through the Side Bar section: To access the Pregnancy in the Progress Note screen, click on the Pregnancy button located on the Side Bar. If the Pregnancy button is not visible, click on the Settings button on the Progress Note toolbar. Choose the Side Bar Settings option. Then, drag and drop the Pregnancy item from the right side of the screen into the items window on the lower left corner of any Side Bar category. Click the Save button to apply the changes. The Side Bar will update, and the Pregnancy button will be displayed under the chosen category. Then click on the Fetal Growth button in screen.

- Through the Search section: Click on the Search button located on the left side of the screen, then select the Pregnancy button. Then click on the Fetal Growth button in screen.

- Through the Patient Dashboard section: In the Patient Dashboard section, click on the OB Summary link, located in the Clinical Evaluation section. Or click on the More button and then select the Open Full Page. Then click on the Fetal Growth button in screen.

Buttons
- Add Images: Allows to add images of the fetus (Ultrasound).
- Cancel: Cancels any changes made to the screen.
- Save: Saves any changes made on the screen.
- Previous: Close screen.
- Date: Date fetal growth data is being collected.
- Estimated Fetal Weight (EFW): Estimated weight of the fetus. You can specify whether it is in grams, pounds or ounces.
- Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI): Estimated amount of the rate of amniotic fluid, which is around the fetus, in the uterus during pregnancy.
- Fetal Heart Rate (FHR): It records the fetal heartbeat per minute.
- Placenta: Allows you to record the location of the placenta. The phrases to select are: Anterior, Antero fundal, Fundal, Marginal, Marginal Anterior, Marginal Posterior, Marginal Posterior, Other (accompanied by a field for note), Posterior, Postero fundal, Previa Complete, Previa Incomplete and Previa Total.
- Quickening: It allows recording the date of the initial movement of the fetus in the uterus.
- Fundal Height Umbilicus: It allows recording the measurement of the size of the uterus during pregnancy.
- FHT W / Fetoscope: It allows recording the date on which the fetal heart rate was heard with the fetus copied.
- BPP (Biophysical Profile): Allows to record the biophysical profile of the fetus. The measure of fetal health during pregnancy. It is determined by a non-stress test of fetal electronic cardiac monitoring and a fetal ultrasound.
- Presentation: Allows you to record the position of the fetus in the uterus. If you select the phrase “Other”, with option to note field.
- Notes: Option, to write a related note regarding the detail of fetal growth.
