There are several options for accessing a new progress note from the Clinical Records screen.
Option #1 - From the Todays Patients section
- In the main menu, press the Clinical button.
- The following screen is displayed:
- Go to the Todays Patients section.
- Select the patient, for the progress note to be displayed, as a new note, the patient must be identified in white color which means, that the patient has not yet been attended.
- Important Note:
- If the patient in this section is identified with the color white, it means that the patient has not yet been attended and the progress note will be displayed as new.
- If the patient in this section is identified with green color, it means that the patient has an open progress note.
- If the patient in this section is identified with gray color, it means that the progress note is closed. The provider will only be able to add an Addendum & Amendments.

- Important Note:
- Double-click on the selected patient.
- If the supplier does not have a progress note “Template” configured as “Default”, the following screen will be displayed:
- Select the “Template” of the progress note, which you will use for patient evaluation.
- Once selected, press the Apply button.
- The progress note will be displayed, with the Template selected:
Note: As this patient (Juana Del Pueblo) is an existing patient, you will notice that this patient already has an existing list of diagnoses. The Assessment / Plan area is already pre-filled due to the Keywords that have been customized. These Keywords are changed in Settings / Assessment & Plan Settings in the same Advanced Progress Note screen and in the Quick Progress Note screen.
- The Quick Progress Note screen will be displayed.
Option #2 - From the Open Progress Notes section
- In the main menu, press the Clinical button.
- The following screen is displayed:
- Go to the Todays Patients section.
- Select the patient, for the progress note to be displayed, as a new note, the patient must be identified in white color which means, that the patient has not yet been attended.
- Important Note:
- If the patient in this section is identified with the color white, it means that the patient has not yet been attended and the progress note will be displayed as new.
- If the patient in this section is identified with green color, it means that the patient has an open progress note.
- If the patient in this section is identified with gray color, it means that the progress note is closed. The provider will only be able to add an Addendum & Amendments.
