The provider has several options for recording the patient's vitals.
Option #1
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Click on the Vital Signs link in the Patient Dashboard section.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add button, located at the top of the screen.
- The Reading Details section will be enabled to record the patient's vital signs.
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
Option #2
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the More button, located in the Patient Dashboard section and select the Open Full Page option.
- Right-click on the Patient Dashboard section and select the Open Full Page option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add button, located at the top of the screen.
- The Reading Details section will be enabled to record the patient's vital signs.
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
Option #3
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Click on the Simple Vital Sign link in the Patient Dashboard section.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add button, located at the top of the screen.
- The Reading Details section will be enabled to record the patient's vital signs.
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
Option #4
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the Vital Signs Main button, located in the Side Bar section.
- Or, press the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Vital Signs Main option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add button, located at the top of the screen.
- The Reading Details section will be enabled to record the patient's vital signs.
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
Option #5
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the More button, located in the Patient Dashboard section and select the Add Vital Signs option.
Right-click on the Patient Dashboard section and select the Add Vital Signs option.
The following screen will be displayed:
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- If you are going to document the patient's pain scale, you can press the level in the right column of the screen or enter in the Pain field, automatically, the pain scale level will be displayed on both sides.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
Option #6
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the Add Vital Sign button, located in the Side Bar section.
- Or, press the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Add Vital Sign option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- If you are going to document the patient's pain scale, you can press the level in the right column of the screen or enter in the Pain field, automatically, the pain scale level will be displayed on both sides.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
Option #7
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the Add button, located next to the Simple Vital Sign text, in the Patient Dashboard section.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Enter values for height, weight and blood pressure.
- If the patient is outside normal BMI levels, remember to check the Counseling for Nutrition and Counseling for Physical Activity options. This way, you will be in compliance with CMS Quality Measures.
- If you are going to document the patient's pain scale, you can press the level in the right column of the screen or enter in the Pain field, automatically, the pain scale level will be displayed on both sides.
- Press the Save button to save the patient's vital signs.
