Several methods are available for scheduling appointments for existing patients.
Option #1
- Go to the Appointments screen.
- Note: If a provider is not listed, verify the 'Accepts Appointments' option in the 'Staff & Providers' screen for that specific provider.
- Double-click on the hour at which you want to schedule the appointment.
- The Appointment Detail screen will be displayed:
- In the Patient field, enter the patient's first name, last name, or record number. The list of patients will then be displayed in the same sequence as they were inputted into the system.
- Based on the search results, choose the appropriate patient from the list.
- In the 'Type' field, select the type of appointment.
- Note: To adjust the settings in this section, navigate to Appointment / Settings and click on the Appt. Types button. After adding an option, be sure to close the Appointment screen and reopen it to see the newly selected option.
- Modify date if necessary.
- In the Appointment Detail screen, identify the patient's location to monitor the duration of time the patient has spent in each observation room.
- Note: Navigate to Appointment / Settings to adjust the options, then click on the Rooms button. After adding an option, be sure to exit the Appointment screen and reopen it to view the newly selected option.
- User can write an appointment or a patient note.
- To mark the patient's arrival, choose the 'Arrived At' section.
- To save the appointment, click on the "Save & Close" button.
- To cancel the appointment, click on the "Cancel" button.
- If a patient has upcoming appointments, they will appear in the Scheduled Appointments section.
Option #2
- Select the appointment date.
- Select the appointment time and press the right mouse button, above the appointment time.
- Select the New Appointment option. Or press Ctrl+N on your keyboard.
- The Appointment Detail screen will be displayed:
- In the Patient field, enter the patient's first name, last name, or record number. The list of patients will then be displayed in the same sequence as they were inputted into the system.
- Based on the search results, choose the appropriate patient from the list.
- In the 'Type' field, select the type of appointment.
- Note: To adjust the settings in this section, navigate to Appointment / Settings and click on the Appt. Types button. After adding an option, be sure to close the Appointment screen and reopen it to see the newly selected option.

Option #3 (Via Progress Note)
- Access the progress note of the chosen patient.
- Select the "Next Appointments" link, which is located at the top of the screen.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Click on the "Go to Appointments" link, which is situated on the right side of the screen.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- To schedule an appointment for an existing patient, double-click on the desired time slot.
- The Appointment Detail screen will be displayed:
- In the Patient field, enter the patient's first name, last name, or record number. The list of patients will then be displayed in the same sequence as they were inputted into the system.
- Based on the search results, choose the appropriate patient from the list.
- In the 'Type' field, select the type of appointment.

Option #4 (Via Patient Details)
- Navigate to the Patient Details screen.
- To schedule an appointment, please click the 'Appointments' button located at the top of the screen.
- The following screen will be displayed:
