There are several options for renewing patient medications. 


Option #1

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Click on the Medication List link in the Patient Dashboard section.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the patient's medications you wish to renew.
  • Once selected, press the Renewal button located at the top of the screen.


  • If there are any interactions with the patient's medications or allergies, the Medications Interactions screen will be displayed, which you can take action on. Otherwise, the following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy by pressing the Pharmacies button located at the top of the screen (only applies to prescriptions that do not contain controlled medications).
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy, to which you want to send the prescription and press the Select button.


  • Once the recipe is completed, press the Send eRx button located at the top of the screen.


  • If you wish to send the prescription and at the same time send a notification to the patient that the prescription has been sent, press the Send + Notify button. 


Option #2

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Go to the Medication List area in the Patient Dashboard section.
  • Select the patient's medications you wish to renew.
  • Once selected, press the More button located next to the Medications List text and select the Renew selected drugs option.


  • Or, press the right mouse button and select the Renew selected drugs option.


  • If there are any interactions with the patient's medications or allergies, the Medications Interactions screen will be displayed, which you can take action on. Otherwise, the following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy by pressing the Pharmacies button located at the top of the screen (only applies to prescriptions that do not contain controlled medications).
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy, to which you want to send the prescription and press the Select button.


  • Once the recipe is completed, press the Send eRx button located at the top of the screen.


  • If you wish to send the prescription and at the same time send a notification to the patient that the prescription has been sent, press the Send + Notify button. 


Option #3

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Press the Medication History button, located in the Side Bar section.


  • Or, click on the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Medication History button.
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the patient's medications you wish to renew.
  • Once selected, press the Renewal button located at the top of the screen.


  • If there are any interactions with the patient's medications or allergies, the Medications Interactions screen will be displayed, which you can take action on. Otherwise, the following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy by pressing the Pharmacies button located at the top of the screen (only applies to prescriptions that do not contain controlled medications).
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy, to which you want to send the prescription and press the Select button.


  • Once the recipe is completed, press the Send eRx button located at the top of the screen.


  • If you wish to send the prescription and at the same time send a notification to the patient that the prescription has been sent, press the Send + Notify button. 


Option #4

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Press the Medication History button, located in the Side Bar section.


  • Or, click on the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Medication History button.
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the patient's medications you wish to renew.
  • Once selected, press the Renewal button located at the top of the screen.


  • If there are any interactions with the patient's medications or allergies, the Medications Interactions screen will be displayed, which you can take action on. Otherwise, the following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy by pressing the Pharmacies button located at the top of the screen (only applies to prescriptions that do not contain controlled medications).
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pharmacy, to which you want to send the prescription and press the Select button.


  • Once the recipe is completed, press the Send eRx button located at the top of the screen.


  • If you wish to send the prescription and at the same time send a notification to the patient that the prescription has been sent, press the Send + Notify button.
