There are several options for discontinuing or cancelling patient medications.
Option #1
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Click on the Medication List link, located in the Patient Dashboard section.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Select from the list the medication you wish to delete or cancel.
- Once selected, press the Edit button located at the top of the screen.
- Select the new Status for the selected drug (Cancelled or Discontinued) and select the reason for the cancellation or discontinuation (the reason field is required).
- Write a note regarding the cancellation or discontinuation of the medication.
- Press the Save button to save the changes made.
Opción #2
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the More button, located next to the Medications List text and select the Open Full Page option.
- Or, press the right mouse button and select the Open Full Page option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Select from the list the medication you wish to delete or cancel.
- Once selected, press the Edit button located at the top of the screen.
- Select the new Status for the selected drug (Cancelled or Discontinued) and select the reason for the cancellation or discontinuation (the reason field is required).
- Write a note regarding the cancellation or discontinuation of the medication.
- Press the Save button to save the changes made.
Option #3
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the Medication History button, located in the Side Bar section.
Or, click on the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Medication History button.- The following screen will be displayed:
- Select the new Status for the selected drug (Cancelled or Discontinued) and select the reason for the cancellation or discontinuation (the reason field is required).
- Write a note regarding the cancellation or discontinuation of the medication.
- Press the Save button to save the changes made.
- Seleccione del listado, el medicamento que desea eliminar o cancelar.
- Una vez seleccionado, presione el botón de "Edit", localizado en la parte superior de la pantalla.
Option #4
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Go to the Medication List section in the Patient Dashboard panel.
- Select the medication from the list, which you want to cancel.
- Once selected, press the right mouse button and select the Cancel Selected Medications option. (Note: You may select multiple medications to cancel).
- Or, click on the More button, located next to the Medication List text and select the Cancel Selected Medications option.
- The following confirmation message will be displayed:
- Press the Yes button to cancel the selected drug.
- Press the No button to cancel the action.
- You will automatically go to the Cancelled section.
