There are several options for adding medications that are not found in the Medications screen.
Option #1
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Click on the Medication List link in the Patient Dashboard section.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add+ button to add medications to the patient's history.
- The Search Medication screen will be displayed to search for the medication.
- In the upper bar of the screen, type the medication you wish to add (in this example, Diabetes wonder drug).
- As the system detects that the drug to be searched for is not found in the database, the following message will be displayed: The Medication Diabetes wonder drug was not found. Click button to add it as a custom drug. WARNING: ADDING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES IS NOT ALLOWED. To start over, simply search”.
- Press the Add Custom Drug button.
- Select the SIG for the drug.
- The drug will be copied at the bottom of the screen.
- Note: The following fields will not be populated: Strength, Route, Form, as they are obtained from the search only.
- If you want to add the drug to a previously configured group, click on the star on the left side of the screen and select the group to which you want to add the drug.
- If the group, to which you want to add the drug, is not found, select the New Group option.
- Automatically, a new group will be displayed in the Frequent Drugs section.
- Press the Save button to add the medication to the Patient Medication History screen.
Option #2
- Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
- Press the More button, located next to the Medications List text and select the Open Full Page option.
- Or, press the right mouse button and select the Open Full Page option.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add+ button to add medications to the patient's history.
- The Search Medication screen will be displayed to search for the medication.
- In the upper bar of the screen, type the medication you wish to add (in this example, Diabetes wonder drug).
- As the system detects that the drug to be searched for is not found in the database, the following message will be displayed: The Medication Diabetes wonder drug was not found. Click button to add it as a custom drug. WARNING: ADDING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES IS NOT ALLOWED. To start over, simply search”.

- Press the Medication History button, located in the Side Bar section.
- Or, click on the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Medication History button.
- The following screen will be displayed:
- Press the Add+ button to add medications to the patient's history.
- The Search Medication screen will be displayed to search for the medication.
- In the upper bar of the screen, type the medication you wish to add (in this example, Diabetes wonder drug).
- As the system detects that the drug to be searched for is not found in the database, the following message will be displayed: The Medication Diabetes wonder drug was not found. Click button to add it as a custom drug. WARNING: ADDING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES IS NOT ALLOWED. To start over, simply search”.
