Important Note: The provider you are sending patient information to must have a Direct address. You will be able to tell if the provider has a Direct account if the field is automatically populated when you select the provider. 

                                                                                                                    

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Press the Add Referral button, located in the Side Bar section.


  • Or, click on the Search button, located at the top left of the screen and select the Add Referral option.
  • The following screen will be displayed:

        

  • Select the type of referral you would like.


  • Search for the specialty you want. If you want to select this specialty as a favorite, click on the star. 


  • Select the name of the provider in the Specific Provider section. 


  • When selecting the provider, you will notice that the Direct field will automatically populate with the Direct address stored in the system.
  • Verify that the patient has information to transmit in the Summary tab.
  • Select the Attach Summary option and Use eReferral / Direct.


  • Press the Save button.
  • Automatically, the referral will be saved and the clinical information will be sent to the provider.
  • If it was saved and if everything was sent correctly, the following message will be displayed to the user: Electronic Referral Send Successfully to .... ( provider name here).
