Description

Small screen, where the patient's vital signs can be recorded and edited.


Access 

  • Through the Side Bar section: To add vital signs, click the 'Add Vital Signs' button on the sidebar of the Progress Note screen. If you cannot locate the button, click the 'Settings' button on the toolbar of the Progress Note screen, then choose 'Sidebar Settings'. From the 'Available Items' area on the right, select 'Add Vital Signs' and drag it to the 'Items' window in the lower left corner of any sidebar category. Click 'Save' to apply the changes. The sidebar will update, and the button will be displayed under the chosen category.
  • Through the Search section: Click on the Search button located on the left side of the screen, then select the 'Add Vital Signs' button.
  • Through the Patient Dashboard section: To add vital signs, click on the 'Vital Signs' link in the Patient Dashboard, or click on the 'Add' button and choose the 'Add Vital Signs' option.

Buttons

  • Save: Saves changes made on the screen.
  • Close: Closes screen. 


Screen Sections

  • Date: Displays the date on which the patient's vital signs are recorded.
  • English or Metric: Allows you to select the format of the vital signs reading of your choice.
  • Height: Height of the patient at the time of recording the data.
  • Weight: Weight of the patient at the time of recording the data. In the case of pediatric patients, the oz field will be displayed.
  • BMI (Body Mass Index): Body Mass Index. This information will be displayed automatically when the patient's height and weight are recorded.
  • Pulse: Arterial pulse rate of the patient at the time of data recording.
  • Respiratory Rate: Respiratory frequency of the patient at the time of recording the data.
  • Temperature: Temperature of the patient at the time of recording the data.
  • Systolic: The patient's outcome at the time of recording the data.
  • Diastolic: The patient's outcome at the time of recording the data.
  • Pain: Pain that the patient had at the time of recording the data.
  • Glucose Test: Glucose test taken from the patient at the time of data recording.
  • Head Circumference: Measurement of the head circumference.
  • Sp02: Measurement of percentage of molecules bound to oxygen.
  • GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate): Recording of the glomerular filtration rate result, which determines the proper function of the kidneys.
  • Denied Readings: When selected, it does not display the patient's vital signs. You must select the reason. This is configured in the main vital signs screen.
  • Counseling for Nutrition: Check this option, if nutrition counseling was given to the patient.
  • Counseling for Physical Activity: Check this option, if physical activity counseling was given to the patient.
  • Notes: User will be able to write a note related to the taking of vital signs.
