Requirements for account activation in ID.me, for the submission of

 Electronic Prescriptions and Controlled Substances (EPCS)

Highlights:

  1. The registration process through ID.me must be completed only by the physician as the use of his or her personal cell phone is required for the exchange of text messages and instructions. (The physician cannot delegate the registration, although he or she can receive assistance). 
  2. One of the steps during account registration will require the physician to take a picture of himself/herself with his/her cell phone.
  3. Make sure your cell phone has enough battery power to complete the registration process.
  4. The registration time on ID.me can take between 15 and 30 minutes, although there have been exceptional cases where it has taken longer.

 

Requirements, to create an account and register in ID.me

  1. Personal e-mail address.
    1. Do not use a work or medical group email account; personal email only.
  2. Cell phone, with internet access and applications (App Store/Google Play).
  3. Social Security Number.
  4. Identification Document - Passport or Driver's License
    1. Passport or Driver's License, must be digitalized (scanned).
    2. If you use a Driver's License, preferably Real ID
    3. Use of a Driver's License, other than Real ID, may involve additional steps to verify identity.
    4. Image of the Driver's License, must be front and back. 
    5. You can use the CESCO application to take a screenshot of the driver's license, front and side.
