Denominator

Patients seen during the period evaluation with at least one medication saved in the "Medication List" screen. 

Numerator

Patients with one prescription and was saved in record, printed and was sent electronically. 

Exclusion

Providers with at least 100 prescriptions performed during the evaluation period. 

Alternative Measure

Measuring percentage of prescriptions instead of patients. Denominator is the prescriptions performed and nominator is the prescriptions sent electronically.

What to do in EHRez?

Create, save, print or send prescription electronically to patients using the New Prescription screen. 

Steps to upload measure.

• In the Side Bar of the Advanced Progress Note and select the Drug Prescription button. 
• The  Search Medication screen will be displayed.
• Select the medications to include in prescription.
• Once prescription is created pres the Send Electronically, Print"or Save button.
