There are several options for setting up drug templates.


Option #1

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Click on the Medication List link in the Patient Dashboard section.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the New Rx button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the Drug Search+ button, located at the top of the screen.


  • The drug search screen will be displayed. 


  • Select all the medications, which you want to add in the prescription.


  • Once selected, press the Save button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • Automatically, the New Prescription screen will be displayed.
  • Press the Save As button, located at the top of the screen, to set up the prescription template.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the name of the template, in the Description field.


  • Then select whether the template will be used only for the provider you are creating it for, for a specific group or for all providers.


  • Once the information is completed, press the Ok button.
  • Automatically, it will be displayed in the Templates section, located on the right side of the screen.


  • If you wish to add the recipe template, press the Apply button. 


  • The following confirmation message will be displayed:


  • Press the Yes button to apply the selected template to the patient.
  • Press the No button to cancel the action.
  • Automatically, the prescription with the selected template will be displayed.


  • If you wish to print the recipe, press the Print + Close button located at the top of the screen.
  • If you only want to save the prescription, press the Save + Close button.
  • If you wish to send the electronic prescription, press the Send eRx button, located at the top of the screen.
  • If you wish to send the electronic prescription and a notification to the patient via text message, press the Send + Notify button located at the top of the screen. 


Option #2

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Press the More button, located next to the Medications List text and select the Open Full Page option.


  • Or, press the right mouse button and select the Open Full Page option.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the New Rx button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the Drug Search+ button, located at the top of the screen.


  • The drug search screen will be displayed. 


  • Select all the medications, which you want to add in the prescription.


  • Once selected, press the Save button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • Automatically, the New Prescription screen will be displayed.
  • Press the Save As button, located at the top of the screen, to set up the prescription template.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the name of the template, in the Description field.


  • Then select whether the template will be used only for the provider you are creating it for, for a specific group or for all providers.


  • Once the information is completed, press the Ok button.
  • Automatically, it will be displayed in the Templates section, located on the right side of the screen.


  • If you wish to add the recipe template, press the Apply button.

Option #3

  • Press the Medication History button, located in the Side Bar section.


  • Or, click on the Search button, located on the upper left side of the screen and select the Medication History option.
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the New Rx button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the Drug Search+ button, located at the top of the screen.


  • The drug search screen will be displayed. 


  • Select all the medications, which you want to add in the prescription.


  • Once selected, press the Save button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • Automatically, the New Prescription screen will be displayed.
  • Press the Save As button, located at the top of the screen, to set up the prescription template.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the name of the template, in the Description field.


  • Then select whether the template will be used only for the provider you are creating it for, for a specific group or for all providers.


  • Once the information is completed, press the Ok button.
  • Automatically, it will be displayed in the Templates section, located on the right side of the screen.


  • If you wish to add the recipe template, press the Apply button.

Option #4

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Press the Drug Prescription button, located in the Side Bar section.


  • Or, press the Search button located at the top left of the screen and select the Drug Prescription button.

    Alternatively, the user can click on the More button, located next to the Medication List text in the Patient Dashboard section and select the New Prescription option.


  • Or, press the right mouse button and select the New Prescription option.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the Drug Search+ button, located at the top of the screen.


  • The drug search screen will be displayed. 


  • Select all the medications, which you want to add in the prescription.


  • Once selected, press the Save button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • Automatically, the New Prescription screen will be displayed.
  • Press the Save As button, located at the top of the screen, to set up the prescription template.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the name of the template, in the Description field.


  • Then select whether the template will be used only for the provider you are creating it for, for a specific group or for all providers.

Option #5

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen. Click on the Medications link, located in the Clinical Evaluation section.
  • Or, press the Add button, located at the end of the section. (It must be configured in the Progress Notes Template Settings screen).


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Press the Drug Search+ button, located at the top of the screen.


  • The drug search screen will be displayed. 


  • Select all the medications, which you want to add in the prescription.


  • Once selected, press the Save button, located at the top of the screen. 


  • Automatically, the New Prescription screen will be displayed.
  • Press the Save As button, located at the top of the screen, to set up the prescription template.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the name of the template, in the Description field.


  • Then select whether the template will be used only for the provider you are creating it for, for a specific group or for all providers.
