Denominator

3 months to 18 years old patients with a Upper Respiratory Infection diagnosis in one visit. 

  • Diagnosis: Upper Respiratory Infection
    • ICD9: 460, 465.0 465.8, 465.9
    • ICD10: J00, J06.0, J06.9


Numerator 

Patients with no prescription of a recommended antibiotic according to the measure** in or 3 days after the visit or some emergency by a upper respiratory infection. 

  

What to do in EHRez?

Prescribe an appropriate antibiotic to all patients between the ages of 3 months to 18 years old with the (URI) condition.
