Percentage of women 16 to 24 years of age who were identified as sexually active and who had at least one test for Chlamydia during the measurement period.

 

Denominator

Female patients from from 16 to 24 years as sexually active and has at least one visit during the measure period.

      • Inflammatory Diseases of Female Reproductive Organs**
      • Chlamydia
        • ICD9: 078.88, 079.88, 079.98
        • ICD10: A56.00, A56.01, A56.09, A74.89, A74.9
      • HIV
        • ICD9: 042, V08
        • ICD10: B20, Z21
      • Syphilis**
      • Complications of Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Puerperium**.
    • or patient is taking a contraceptive medication**,
    • or has any following lab order: 
      • Pregnancy Test **
      • Pap Test **
      • Delivery Live Birth **
      • Lab test during pregnancy **
      • Lab test for sexually transmitted infections **
      • Diagnosis studies during pregnancy**
      • X-Ray Study **
    • before or during the measure period and has not finished after the measure period**.

Numerator

Women with at least one chlamydia test** during the test period. 

 

What to do in EHRez?

Females between the ages of 16 to 24 with an order registered and a result of  a Chlamydia Screening test in the corresponding screens of (Orders y Add Result). 

 

Examples

18 years old female patients 

  • 1st encounter: Must have registered an ICD9: 615.0 Acute inflammatory disease of uterus diagnosis and was ordered to make a Chlamydia (CPT: 87110, LOINC: 13217-5) test. 
  • 2nd encounter: Must have a Positive result registered in system of the order given in previous encounter. 

 

Important: The mapping of the CPT 87110 and the LOINC: 13217-5 has to be done in Settings/Clinical/Orders.
