Description

Screens are utilized for generating both printed and electronic medication prescriptions.


Access 


Through the Side Bar section: To access the Drug Prescription feature, click on the corresponding button located in the Side Bar of the Progress Note screen. If the Drug Prescription button is missing, click on the Settings button found on the toolbar of the Progress Note screen, then choose the Side Bar Settings option. From there, select the Medication History item in the available items area on the right side of the screen and drag it into the items window at the lower left corner of any Side Bar category. Finally, click the Save button to apply the changes. The Side Bar panel will update, and the Drug Prescription button will now be visible under the category to which it was added.

Through the Search section: Click on the Search button located on the left side of the screen, then select the Drug Prescription button.

Through the Patient Dashboard section: To add a new prescription, click on the 'Medication List' link in the Patient Dashboard, then select the 'New Rx' button. Alternatively, click on the 'Add' button and choose the 'New Prescription' option.

Through the Clinical Evaluation section: Click on the Medications link in the Advanced Progress Note, or press the More button located in the same section.


Sections


Offices: Allows selection of the office that will create the prescription.


Buttons

  • Pharmacies: Opens pharmacy search options.


  • Save As: Once the medication is selected, it allows for the creation of a template for the prescription.
  • Drug Search: The Search Medication screen is displayed.
  • Add: Pressing this button will display the Search Medication screen, allowing for the selection of medications.
  • Send eRx: Enables the sending of electronic prescriptions.
    • Note: To view the receipt status, the user should navigate to the Medications screen, access the Prescription History by Medication section, and check the Status column.
  • Send + Notify: Enables the sending of notifications to patients.
  • Print + Close: The system prints the prescription and then closes the screen.
  • Save + Close: Stores the prescription and closes the screen.
    • Note: Stored prescriptions can be accessed via the methods below:
      • Select the "View Orders" button located on the toolbar of the Clinical Records screen.
      • To proceed, click the 'Orders' button located on the toolbar of the Appointments screen
  • Cancel: Exits the screen. 

Tabs (Located at the right side of screen)

  • Patient Chart: Clicking on this tab will display the patient's section, which includes the patient's active allergies, allows for the addition of selected medications, shows the patient's medication history, and provides access to view the patient's prescription history.

                                                                                                                                         

  • Templates: An area where a user can add a complete medication template, including personal templates, group templates, or a comprehensive collection of templates.

                                                                                                                                          

  • Frequent Drugs: Area where the medication providers frequently visit is displayed.

                                                                                                                                             

Sections of Center Screen

  • Add Any Drug / Dose From Search: Pressing this button will display the Search Medication screen.
  • Add with only Clicks from Your Favorites: Pressing this button will display the Frequent Medications tab on the right side of the screen.
  • Add a full medication template: By pressing this button the Templates tab located at the right side of screen will be displayed.
  • Try Different Dose or Brand from History Medications: By pressing this button the Patient Chart located at the right side of screen.
