There are several options to deactivate an order.


Option #1

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Click on the Pending Orders link, located in the Patient Dashboard section.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pending order to be removed.
  • Once selected, press the right mouse button and select the Inactive option.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the reason why you want to deactivate the pending order. Once you have typed the reason, press the OK button.


  • Press the Cancel button to skip the action.
  • It will automatically be removed from the list of the patient's pending orders.


Option #2

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Click on the More button, located next to the Pending Orders link, in the Patient Dashboard section and select the Open Full Page option.


  • Or, right-click on that section and select the Open Full Page option.


  • In both cases, the following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pending order to be removed.
  • Once selected, press the right mouse button and select the Inactive option.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the reason why you want to deactivate the pending order. Once you have typed the reason, press the OK button.


  • Press the Cancel button to skip the action.
  • It will automatically be removed from the list of the patient's pending orders.


Option #3

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Press the Main Orders button, located in the Side Bar section. 


  • You can also click on the Search button located on the left side of the screen and select the Main Orders option.
  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Select the pending order to be removed.
  • Once selected, press the right mouse button and select the Inactive option.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the reason why you want to deactivate the pending order. Once you have typed the reason, press the OK button.


  • Press the Cancel button to skip the action.
  • It will automatically be removed from the list of the patient's pending orders.


Option #4 

  • Go to the Advanced Progress Note screen.
  • Select the pending order you wish to remove, in the Pending Orders section, located in the Patient Dashboard.


  • Once selected, press the right mouse button and select the Inactive Selected Orders option. (The user will be able to select multiple orders to deactivate simultaneously).


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Type the reason why you want to deactivate the pending order. Once you have typed the reason, press the OK button.


  • Press the Cancel button to skip the action.
  • It will automatically be removed from the list of the patient's pending orders.
